Terms, refunds and privacy

Who we are

This shop is the St Andrew's College Pipe Band tour fundraiser, run by parents of the band. Everything we sell, and every gift, goes towards sending the band to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, in August 2027.

Prices and payment

Prices are in South African rand and are shown on the shop page. You can pay by card or by EFT (bank transfer). When you pay by card, Yoco's card fee is added to the total and shown before you pay; EFT and cash are at the list price.

Card payments are made on Yoco's secure payment page. We never see or keep your card details. An order is confirmed once the payment has reached us: straight away for a card, or when the EFT shows on our bank statement. Please use your order reference when you pay by EFT. An EFT order that is not paid within 7 days lapses, and paying afterwards reopens it.

Collection and delivery

• Collect at the Highlander at school. We WhatsApp you when it is ready.
• Collect from Gemma or Bez in Grahamstown. We WhatsApp you to arrange a time and place.
• Courier anywhere in South Africa for a flat fee of R130, shown before you pay. We send courier orders within 5 working days of payment and WhatsApp you the tracking number.

Pre-orders and back orders

Some items are sold before they are in stock. The shop says so and gives the expected date. You pay in full when you order, and we WhatsApp you as soon as your item is ready. If the date moves, we tell you. You can cancel a pre-order or back order for a full refund at any time before it is ready.

Returns and refunds

• You may return an unused item in its original condition within 14 days of receiving it, for a full refund.
• A faulty item is replaced or refunded in full, whenever you find the fault.
• Refunds go back the way you paid: to your card through Yoco, or by EFT to your bank account. We refund within 7 days of receiving the item back, or of your cancellation.
• For a courier order, the cost of sending an unused item back is yours; for a faulty item it is ours.
• A gift (donation) to the tour is not a purchase and is not normally refunded. If you gave by mistake, contact us within 14 days and we will refund it.

To return or cancel, contact us with your order reference.

Your privacy

We keep your name, your cell number, your email address if you give one (on any order or gift) and, for courier orders, your delivery address, only to process your order, deliver it and contact you about it. We share your delivery details only with the courier, and never sell or pass on your details to anyone else. Card details are handled by Yoco alone. We clear delivery addresses and emails after the tour. An order also keeps a scrambled code of the network it was placed from, never the address itself, used only to stop one network flooding the shop with orders. You may ask us at any time what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) provides. A proof of payment you send us is seen only by the people who reconcile payments and is kept on this website only; it never marks your order paid, only our bank statement does. We delete it 30 days after your order is paid, or 30 days after you sent it if the order is cancelled.

We count visits to this website to learn which pages help and where our supporters come from: the pages you open and for how long, the website or share link that brought you here, your country and city as our host Cloudflare reads them from your network, and whether you use a phone, tablet or computer. We use no cookies for this and keep no IP address; the count lasts as long as your browser tab, and your browser remembers only that you have been here before. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits for us in the same cookie-free way. The figures are seen only by the band's fundraising team and kept for at most 13 months, unless they belong to an order.
